Alvin Fisher's sharing page.

I am 51 years old. I was a computer programmer for a number of years, but My disability application (because of a nervous disorder) has been accepted by the judge. Hopefully it will not be overturned by the Appeals Council. Perhaps it is multiple sclerosis (MS); perhaps I have had several miniature strokes. The neurologist isn't sure.

But, enough of that. God keeps me going.

I also have nature pictures that I like to share. They are at http://photos.yahoo.com/alvin4a55. I have also written some Christian music and have recorded one album. You can listen to the songs at http://www.soundclick.com/alvinfisher.

I have been doing a lot of reading, and I love mission stories. One book I read recently is “The Garo Jungle Book,” written by William Carey and published in 1919. The famous William Carey lived much earlier, so the author of this book may have been his descendant. One of the main characters is Ramke. I am in the process of putting his story online. You can click on his name and read what I have typed up so far.

Although I like the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible for certain things and most of the Scripture memorization that I have done has been in the KJV, I am concerned that some people go too far in criticizing other versions. Here is my answer to that.

Many Christians believe that, although the rites and rituals have changed between the Old Testament and New Testament, the bottom line has always been, as Billy Graham has said it, that each person is responsible for the light he or she has received. Later, I hope to put up other things. If you would like to say, “Hi,” click on my name to email Alvin Fisher

God bless you all.
